You Are Never Too Overweight For Exercise

Do you think you are too overweight for exercise?

If so, you are not alone. There are many soul mates out there who care about starting an exercise program.

You Are Never Too Overweight For Exercise

What should you do and where to start? How can you keep exercise safe and enjoyable all at the same time?

In case you have been afraid to exercise or just uncertain of how to start, I have good news for you: It does not take much exercise to make a difference.

Are you overweight?

Being obese and having excess weight are two different things.

What doctors use to determine which one involves your Body Mass Index (BMI).

To calculate your BMI you divide your weight in kilograms by its height in meters squared.

If you are mathematically limited, as I am, you can simply use this IMC calculator.

BMI is used to control body fat according to your height and weight, but it does not distinguish between lean body tissue and fat.

BMI can be misleading for very muscular people or for pregnant women.

A BMI between 25 and 29 is considered overweight and a BMI greater than 30 is considered obese.

If you are the BMI is 30 or older, consult your doctor and check it out before you start exercising or dieting.

The problem with obesity

Obesity contributes to a number of issues, such as:

– High pressure

– Heart disease

– Diabetes

– Sleep apnea

– Depression

On top of this, you may feel pain in the nuisance joints caused by carrying excessive weight on the body.

The good news is that if you lose weight, you can control the pain and perhaps avoid many of these conditions and diseases.

Even better news: it does not have to hurt to do so.

Before doing anything, always consult your doctor to make sure that you can exercise safely without getting hurt.

If you are taking medication, find out how to monitor whether any heart or blood pressure medications can affect your heart rate.

Be sure to get details of the envelope exactly what you can and can not do.

If you have never exercised, the last thing you want to do is get yourself hurt by doing too much in a short time.

After obtaining the advice of your doctor, check out the beginner corner to learn how to start an exercise program.
